Dr. Mark McKenna practices medicine in the states of Georgia and Florida where he is licensed in Surgery and Medicine. He is originally from Louisiana and dedicates himself to improving patient experiences and participates in community activism. Dr. McKenna received his medical education from Tulane University and also began his career as an entrepreneur at the same time. He launched McKenna Venture Investments while in college. It is a small real estate development firm that McKenna has continued to push over the years. He was also able to make the acquisitions of Universal Mortgage Lending and Uptown Title Inc. McKenna’s business interest have grown to include over 50 employees that offer a number of different services from real estate closing to finance and design-build.
Dr. Mark McKenna lost a great deal of his business holdings when Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home City of New Orleans. Mark decided that it was time to give back to his hometown. He became involved with rebuilding the infrastructure of New Orleans and developing low income housing for struggling families.
Dr. Mark McKenna eventually moved his business to Atlanta Georgia and launched a new brand called ShapeMed. ShapeMed is a wellness medical practice that also specializes in a aesthetics. McKenna was able to sell the company to Lifetime Fitness Inc. and turn his business talents to another venture. He founded OVME as a new business idea that will reshape elective healthcare with technology and medical aesthetics.
Dr. Mark McKenna is very dedicated to his family. He is always up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for his daughter while her mother is still sleeping. He is then able to relax and concentrate on the task ahead for the day.
Prioritizing is very important when it comes to accomplishing goals. Dr. McKenna believes that it is important to take adequate time to decide the nature of the priorities. There is no need to rush through a task if it is not going to lead to the desired results. Speed without vision does not serve a purpose in the long run.
